Sheila Bryan is a practicing artist living locally in Cambridge, with nearly 20 years experience teaching art and running drawing summer schools.
She has exhibited in several major public exhibitions including the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition and the Whitechapel Open, along with numerous private exhibitions.
Much of her work is concerned with landscape and the plants within the landscape. Often going back to the same place to draw time and time again. Getting to know it well is an important part her practice as an artist.
This class will introduce you to the basic skills of drawing through a series of structured activities. Each session we will look at a particular aspect of drawing and introduce key concepts such as line, tone, composition and mark making. With a nice balance between a traditional and less traditional approach to drawing, you may develop a new love for drawing!
Minimal materials needed.
