An evening with rev. richard coles

Join Richard Coles as he tells a story that is as real as it is unlikely. During the evening he will connect the euphoria and mayhem of being Top of the Pops in the 80s to his present circumstances as a Church of England priest, radio broadcaster and television show panellist, answering amongst many burning questions, “How do you go from pop star to priest? And why?”

With over two million listeners, the Reverend Richard Coles is co-presenter of BBC Radio 4’s Saturday Live. He regularly appears as a celebrity panelist on shows such as Have I Got News For YouWould I Lie To You? and QI, and has made guest appearances on Pointless Celebrities, Celebrity Mastermind, Alan Davies As Yet Untitled and Songs of Praise.

In 2016, Richard reached the semi finals of Celebrity Masterchef and in 2017 he presented BBC One’s The Big Painting Challenge, alongside Mariella Frostrup, which returned in 2018 for a second series. In August 2017, Richard was announced as the 5th celebrity to join the line-up of BBC1’s hit prime-time show Strictly Come Dancing – he exited the show on week two of voting.

Richard writes regularly for the broadsheet newspapers, magazines and has an occasional column in Woman’s Weekly.
