Sunday July 4th | 11am - 4pm | FREE (NO BOOKING REQUIRED)

We're delighted to host the Stapleford Village Day 2021 at the Granary! This special day will be a celebration of our village, our community and a chance to come together in a safe outdoor environment and enjoy all the things we have missed so much over the past year.

We will be throwing open our garden and outdoor spaces to all of you from 11am to 4pm on Sunday 4th July. We’ve got live acoustic music showcasing local musicians, a beautiful family show from Corkscrew Theatre Company, stalls from freelance artists, craft activities for children and delicious pop-up food vans. The day is free to enter and we will be collecting for two charities; the Red Hen Project (who support local families and children to achieve more at home) and our not-for-profit new Artist Residency Scheme (enabling the freelance workforce to get back on their feet again).  Scroll down to the end of the page to see the listings for live music, theatre, food and stalls!

COVID-19: Keeping everyone safe at the Village Day

Stapleford Granary is a large site with spacious outdoor areas. We have worked closely with South Cambridgeshire Council on our outdoor Covid Health & Safety policy which has been fully approved. It includes measures such as: crowd management policy, placing chairs in socially distanced groups, ensuring maximum numbers for children’s / craft activities, socially distanced queues for food / drink, hand-sanitising stations and information posters. As with all our operations, the Village Day is risk assessed and professionally managed in every aspect.

How do I book?

No need to book - just come along on the day. We'll update this webpage with more details over the next few weeks - and please do sign up to our enews to be sure not to miss anything! Parking & access

Please see our general parking & access information page.

As a community event for local people, we envisage that many visitors to the Village Day will come from Stapleford and Shelford villages and make their way to the Granary as pedestrians. For those on bikes, we have bicycle racks available (sufficient for up to 50 bikes). The number 31 bus route from Great and Little Shelford and Cambridge has stops near to the Granary at Haverhill Rd and Poplar Road.

For the general public, we are able to offer limited parking in our overflow car park, laid to grass, at the front of the Granary which will be overseen by a dedicated parking marshal. We will have two dedicated Blue Badge holder parking spaces situated on the driveway immediately in front of the Granary, providing easy onward access to all parts of the site.

Additional parking: there is a free public car park at the nearby Stapleford Pavilion. Please note that any vehicle parking on local roads must do so safely, legally and with respect to local residents.  Entertainers, stall holders and caterers will have a separate dedicated parking area, located at the rear of the Granary, also laid to grass.
